  • My E-mail to the DNC - Florida and Michigan must count

I am very saddened by the events that are taking place with the Michigan, and Florida votes. Since our votes are not important enough in Michigan and Florida to the "Democratic" party, perhaps they are important to the Republican party. After so many years of fighting for what is right, and believing that I belonged to the party that made a difference, I am now an outcast. I am not the only democrat that you have disenfranchised, many are filling out political party change forms, as we speak, others are just retiring back into political apathy.

    • Dear Mare in Florida...

Please hang in there...help is on the way!  Those of us across America will not give up on FL or MI until the right thing is done! If it takes marching in Denver in August, my Family and I have resolved that we will do just that! But meanwhile, all of us here will keep working hard to ensure that your votes are COUNTED!

    • E-mail the DNC, Super-delegates, sing petition to seat FL/MI delegates

Don't give up! E-mail the Democratic Party and sign the petition to have new primaries and seat FL/MI delegates. I was very stern in my e-mails to the DNC. Also, e-mail super-delegates to let them know that Hillary is the COMPETENT choice and the BEST choice for President. Keep working!

    • We must count all votes in America

There people throughout the country that hear you Florida and Michigan and are standing by you. I have been a Democrat my whole life and I have stopped donating to the DNC until your votes are fully counted. I only donate to Hillary because she was the only candidate with the wisdom to stick with you from the beginning.

    • Mare in Florida ; Your not alone!!!!

I'm a supporter from NY and the way I see it if
your votes & MI votes don't count than NONE of
OURS DO!Without FL&MI the Hillary doubters "feel"she's a "spoiler";with them in they have to STEP-BACK
& let this PLAY-OUT!It seems like the EFFORTS of so
MANY are starting to work!KEEP STRONG!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Your VOTES SHOULD COUNT!

If Florida and Michigan were to count today, not only would Hillary be even closer in popular vote but the delegate total would have Clinton at 1676 delegates to 1691 for Obama.

That's only 15 delegates down which WE KNOW she will get in Pennsylvania!

      DONATE $15.00 Now!

Go Hillary!  Everyone write the DNC and make them count these millions of votes!  TEAM HILLARY WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE DO NOT GIVE IN!

by Dust at 3/22/2008 6:43:58 PM

    • Take heart & Take cheer!

The Florida & Michigan votes do count and there chosen delegates will be seated at the convention in Denver! The rules say we can move to accept there elections and seat there delegates and then everyone at the convention will vote yes and they will be seated. Neither candidate can win before the convention but at the convention Hillary is guaranteed to win!  Why do you think Obama and his team keep crying out so loudly for Hillary to drop out before the convention.  They see that Obama will lose the nomination once we Democrats are in Denver! GO HILLARY!  ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE!

I agree. If Hilary is not on the ballot, she will be on mine. There is only one good candidate and only one person to do the job as the next President. It is HILARY!!!!!!!

    • Kelvin, Washington DC

It is very sad that a woman gets to run for president, first time ever, and she would be denied the fairness and the beauty of all states to be counted.  It is a moral imperative that all states are included with their real vote (no 50/50 dividing).  She needs to address this head-on. Women in Michigan and Florida need to make this a huge issue.  She had been very unfairly treated by the press and some political opponents.  Indeed there are moments in which she is not offered the minimum of female courtesy.  But that’s OK.  As she had said many times; she can take.  I love you Hillary!

    • I'm with you... and I'm in PA

MEfromFlorida: I empathisize with your situation and if the DNC cannot recognize the votes cast January 29th in Florida, then I don't believe the Democratic Party believes in it's own core value that every vote counts. Count me in for boycotting the (un)Democratic ticket in November as I don't believe in a "48 State Strategy" as last time I looked there were 50 States in our Union!

Superdelegates who believe in the Democratic Party's values need to consider the voices of Florida and Michigan before casting their vote.

    • DNC-Florida & Michigan revote

I just watched the last portion of "Road To The Whitehouse" on CSPAN, where the DNC and representatives of at least Florida, where the reps conveyed the efforts they made, against a Republican Governor and legislature, to obey party rules, without success.  Then they were told basically the rules would stand and delegates of both states will not be seated.  Apparently, the DNC does not believe Florida voters who say if the delegates aren't seated they won't vote.  I didn't catch the whole debate which will be repeated at 6:30 PST, if you want to watch.  But you might want to skip over B.O. first.   Hopefully we can respond and convince the DNC they are giving this election to the Republicans

    • Disenfranchised Floridian

I am a Floridian, an Air Force veteran, have an advanced degree, and am a 54 year old woman. For the first time in my life I have contributed to a political campaign. Hillary is the candidate I support and hope to see in the White House. I am so upset with the Democratic National Party for saying that the votes of Floridians and those of Michigan as well, don't count. If they counted, Hillary would be ahead. What happened to "We the People?" It isn't "we the party officials."

    Prayer and Meditation Vigil..

For all of us "sticking with Hillary" and to shower Hillary with positive vibrations and love there will be a prayer vigil and candle lighting this Sunday, Easter, at 9 pm EST.  Let's join together and infuse Hillary with blessings so she can continue on in strength to the nomination and white house.

    PLEASE POST

by KathyforHillary at 3/22/2008 10:22:28 AM

    • PRAYER AND MEDITATION VIGIL

I will be at St. Stephen the Martyr Church for our Easter Vigil services at that time. So you can be assured that I'll remember Hillary and her Support Family in my prayers.

by lilibet at 3/22/2008 12:56:30 PM

    • Sticking with Hillary

There is clearly no one more qualified to be President in 2008 than Hillary Clinton.  I will participate in the vigil.  Furthermore, I feel so strongly about her candidacy that I propose (and probably others have too) that she consider becoming a "third party" if Barack Obama becomes the nominee of the Democratic Party.  With a VP choice (Chuck Hagel?) who also has strong credibility with the military and the economy (Michael Bloomberg?) she would present a formidable opponent to Obama or McCain...  Thanks for listening...

by plwtoday at 3/22/2008 1:35:00 PM

    • Count me in...

I pray for her daily but we can defenitely send her some good vibes if we all pray together!!

HillFamily, Let's Pray and light a candle for Hill on Sunday,(easter) @ 9pm

Keep going Hillary!! We are with you all the way to the Oval office!!

I heard on the news yesterday the DNC is short 5MIL in there fundraising efforts. I think they are getting the message.  Seat the Florida and Michigan delegates or not a single penny from us long time Dems.

          • My prayer

I keep praying that in these dangerous and complicated times, we elect the BEST person to be our next President. Our nation cannot make a mistake---again. Hillary is the best choice--far more experienced than Obama, committed to public service since her student days, and she has a true heart for the issues worrying the American people.
She is ready to serve on Day One and, if necessary, this nomination decision should go to the convention. How dare people tell Hillary to throw in the towel with the amount of support she has!

I never pray for anything financial or political but for some reason today I lit a candle. I told myself its not really political its a prayer for a president who will do everything in her power to get universal healthcare and promote peace. When I thought of it that way I had no problem lighting a candle.  Its not political so it was ok.

Look what happened when we all prayed for Hillary Clinton the night before March 4th, and then she won Texas, Ohio, and Rhode Island! I know that the power of prayer is playing a strong role in Hillary Clinton still being in this race.
We should set up weekly prayer meetings like the one you are suggesting until Hillary Clinton is our Democratic nominee. WE CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN!

What a great idea! I will light a candle for Hillary today. always send a press release to the Associated Press and Reuters.  If the wire services pick it up, it goes everywhere and lots of smaller newspapers and presses will see it. Then, they can chose to print it in their publications.  That way you get a better change of coverage somewhere even if the MSM does not cover it.

    HIllary Best Candidate in November

I think Hillary has a greater chance of winning the Democratic nomination then Obama has in the general election!!!
That is why I am sticking with Hillary and feel she stay in this until ALL the votes are counted. It is foolish and wrong to say Hillary is damaging her opponents chances - he is destroying his own chances! He will get attacked and questioned ten-fold in a general election.
I feel the DNC is seriously underestimating the reation of moderate Democrats in the Fall. John McCain has a moderate Republican record and he is a Patriot.
I just sent another 50 dollars. Please help Hillary stay in this race until ALL the votes are counted. Hundreds of thousands of voters will be shut out.

When I heard the endorsement, I had to wonder if he is hoping for the VP slot. He's Hispanic and the Obama needs help with Hispanics.

    • WTF

I am in Europe right now on a biz trip...my first priority was to check Hillary´s blog and to donate!  Missed the news on this one about BR...what a joke.  He endorsed BO, who is about to lose the GE election if nominated.  Another person with sound judgment I see. GO HILLARY FAMILY, WE CAN DO THIS...WE´RE GOING TO TAKE HER ALL THE WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE!

    Keeping Pace

    Good Morning my Friends,
Wonderful story of how Hillary's online contributions are picking up. We need to keep it going so Hillary has the resources to get her message out there. She is strong and can carry on as long as we stay true and help her achieve the goals they set for us. We need to move that money meter. At times it seems to go away but just click on the Hillary Home tab and it should be back. I have noticed a bit of trouble getting to the web page. May be a glitch so just keep on trying. Lets go for beating Obama's record setting month. What do you say TEAM HILLARY. Are you up to the challenge. Keep calling and emailing everyone you know to get that extra $5.00 so we can move up. We need to keep those hugh leads in the upcoming Primaries and we can only do it with donations. Time to get a little serious and move that meter. ROCK ON TEAM HILLARY.

      • Your Donation record

It's fine that you showed your donation record. The article was claiming that we are those poor, uneducated supporters of Hillary who have so little to offer. While it obviously very true that many of us are giving of the little we have, there are others who keep on giving,  and  giving, and giving so that the small donations really add up.

Also, I seem to remember from the Gospel a story about the widow who gave the little she had, and was praised for it.

Perhaps we could all make a special Easter Donation to OUR CAMPAIGN.

      • 25.00 Today

After reading your comment, I decided to donate another 25.00. I hope folks will follow this. I am not wealthy either and my household has been sending as much as we can. We also worked tirelessly in my hometown of Ohio to help with the effort. Please, everyone in the upcomming states, take election day off, make sure that any Hillary supporters you come across are registered, or get them registered. Also, assit an elderly or homebound supporter to register early. I believe it made a difference here!

      Hello Gay Guy!
I have had trouble getting to this page also for two days. I have to select it twice. I tried changing my favorites link but the trouble is still there. I have not had any other problems with any other link. Let's keep an eye on it today. Seems kind of strange but maybe they are doing some updating?

      by shasta2001 at 3/22/2008 12:46:39 PM

    PLEASE READ THIS FOLKS!

This week I said I would contribute 100 x2 for my votes that did not count each time in FL, 1st Al Gore and now.

Yesterday Hillary sent a letter to all of us personally asking us to help her be competitive.  It hurt my heart that she had to ask.  BO is spending 1.5 million a day and has been since OH and TX.  The media keeps reporting that she cannot make it...that is just not so.  When you look at what is left and the polls right now, OH YES SHE CAN.

But not without our help.  So I have increased my contribution as much as I possibly can.  So folks please join me lets show her we have her back.  She can do this but only if we stand tall by her.  Join me in this support today, right now.  Whatever you can right now.

The media would have us believe that she needs to drop out, the way we fight back is to give her the momentum she needs.  Lets show the media that once again they are absolutely wrong.  Lets show Hillary that when she asks we not only listen and blog but we support her in the most important way right now.  Donate a dollar, donate 10...whatever you can, but do it today! DO IT RIGHT NOW!

    Here is my support:

    Sticking With Hillary

This West Virginian is sticking with Hillary!  We are traveling next week to DC for her March 26th event at Constitution Hall.  Anyone who can go, should attend and show their support.

I will continue to contribute financially to her campaign as well.  I never have contributed this much money to any candidate before; however, the candidate inspires me!  Hillary must be our next President!

By the way, I just got a call from Obama's campaign.  They are working the phones here in WV.  Let's continue to make those calls for Hillary in PA and, hopefully, we can start the calls in the remaining states as well.

    WE CAN DO THIS!

I just donated $100.  I have no cash but I do have a credit card and Hillary is worth a little interest.  I know when she's in the White House I will get triple--No! quadruple--No! unlimited returns on my investment.  I wish I could go to PA but I'm struggling to make ends meet.  I am making more calls though.

An idea:  I follow the links to the various newspaper articles and I write a comment there, if at all possible, supporting Hillary and all the local folk there who know that Hillary is by far the best candidate to be our next President.

Thank you Hillary for all your tireless work on our behalf.  We will work just as tirelessly for you!

    Anderson Rally

The amazing thing about Senator Clinton's stop in Anderson was first of all the crowd of 6,000, who were willing to stand in line for hours on a sunny, but chilly day. While in line, I got to talk to some very remarkable people. Another remarkable thing I noticed was that the crowd demographic was much more diverse than the media reports. Yes there were women there, but about as many men. There were older folks side by side with college and high school students. Once in the auditorium, I sat in front of three African American women who were very animated throughout. There were union members proudly wearing their union T-shirts for Hillary. There were mothers with small children who behaved extremely well. Many in the crowd had or were getting their college degrees. The thing that bound us altogether was our strong support for Senator Clinton.

by theprof at 3/22/2008 10:53:42 AM

    Keep the faith

Hillary I hope you are fine. I did not hear anything about you in the news yesterday.

As you said the other time " I have never been a quitter" I believe that, and this race is far from over despite what the pundits say. In fact, I read somewhere that the Drudge report had memo out that you were dropping out after NH, and you are still here. There are a lot people out there who believe in you, and you can always count on us. You have shown throughout your life, from wellesley to the senate, that you are willing to be part of the process to bring change to things that matter the most; health care reform, better education for everybody, children's right, etc. These are the things that resonate with me.

It is very important to look at what people have done previously to determine whether they can bring about the reforms that they talk about. When someone makes promises, I always ask myself: " What have you done in the past to indicate that you can deliver these promises"

These are some of the real issues facing this country, and we need REAL SOLUTIONS: People loosing their homes, innocent people dying in Iraq, people are spiraling into poverty, bad schools in appalachia and the inner cities, people with no health insurance, some bad people around the world planning to bomb this country daily, people are homeless, veterans are suffering debilitating illnesses as they come back from war, most of them can't find jobs. Developing clean energy and taking care of the evironments, etc etc etc etc.

You have already talked a lot about these issues on the campaign trail, and I hope a lot of people realize that after these last couple of years under Pres. Bush, the country is facing major issues that will need REAL SOLUTIONS.

My only regret is that, I don't make a lot of money to donate more.

    Happy Easter.

Sticking with Hillary more than Just Words

    Sticking With Hillary.........Fabulous blog!

Has anyone out there received a letter from the DNC asking you to take a survey and donate?
I plan to complete and return it with a note that I'll be happy to give WHEN Hillary is nominated and/or if this money is used to give Michigan and Florida a revote. I hope you'll join me in relaying this message.

In recognition of Richardson's endorsement of Obama let's all donate to Hillary's campaign because we know she is the best candidate, because WE won't bail out on a friend under  pressure or for personal gain, because we know Hillary is the real candidate of change.
Who is the status quo - politics as usual candidate here?
Who is willing to buck politics as usual and rock the boat if needed to make sure we uphold the core values of a democratic party.

I endorse Hillary Clinton and I believe my endorsement is as good as Bill Richardson's.
Please join me in donating today.

    A Challenge for Hillary Supporters

Good morning to all of you.  I have a Saturday morning challenge for you.

Today lets get to 2 million.  Today, lets tell Hillary decisively that we want her to stay in the race.

Right now go to the contribution link and donate the amt of your age plus .44, for me that will be 52.44.

Do it right now.  Lets pledge our age plus 44.  I am going to donate 52.44 for me and 72.44 for my Mom who cannot afford to.

Don't hesitate, pull out those credit cards and do it right now, lets make that money meter grow to 2 million today!

    by HILL4PRES08 at 3/22/2008 11:05:33 AM

    • I'm with ya :-)

I will donate 24.44 today for Hillary.

Lets never mind the Rich. endorsment.  That wont help BO anyways. I seen on Fox news the Mr. Edwards is unlikely to endorse either candidate.

      GO HILLARY!!!!!

please post this challenge again on Monday when people are at their computers again for the work week... I will donate tomorrow in response to your new post. Please please, post again! and thanks for the great idea!

    • That's $52.44 from me, too!

Hey, this is a great idea.  If all we baby boomers contribute amounts equal to our ages, we could raise a big pile of cash!  Come on, let's do it.  Think of it as an early birthday present!

    Hillary Will Not Lose

I have been on a little vacation for the last few days, but I donated before I left and again today. I can't donate much, $10 at a time, but it adds up and I believe every little bit helps.

Hillary will not lose this nomination because we are here to help her win. We are all in it to win it. The truth about Obama is finally starting to come out. His speeches are just words. He cares only about winning, and that is why he will lose. Hillary cares about all of us and this country. This is her life's work, and she is good at what she does.

I loved Bill Clinton as President, and I think Hillary will be an even better President than he was. She will beat McCain because this country needs a new direction, not more of the same old republican politics.

We are making history. I have no doubt that Hillary can do this. Let's not ever give up, no matter what the press or anyone else says.

NY TIMES ARTICLE RE ONLINE SUPPORT

Good Morning Hillary Family! I just wanted to say tell you all that I did a phone interview with the NY Times yesterday. What he didn't put in the article is why I so strongly campaign for, and support Hillary. I told him I live in a predominantly African American city. A city that has a high rate of unemployment, uninsured citizens. We have seniors who have lost their pensions from the steele mills. I am also surrounded by obama supporters. I am always talking about the issues and why Hillary should be the choice with the people in my area. I deal with them on a daily basis on my job, and they cant help but see my Hillary stickers on my car and buttons on my clothes! I tell them my personal reasons. My mothers terminal illness, where I had to work and extra job to pay for her medications until her death. My daughter who is in remission for uterine cancer, a single mom of three, who lost her job due to her illness, and who is uninsured. Now my having to move to Indiana to help my in laws who are going through illness.I my self had a bad fall when I moved to Indiana, with no insurance, could not get the surgery I needed. I am still recovering from my injuries.  These are just a few of the reasons I WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT HILLARY...I WILL DONATE....WE WILL WIN...
HILLARY IS THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES
PLEASE KEEP ON DONATING...CALLING...BLOGGING...WE WILL DO THIS     TOGETHER!!!

I saw the article and you were awesome! I wish they had printed the rest of your story. Maybe we can get a follow up or something here on this site?
      Thanks RobinP!!

    • You Go Robin!

I am looking at the article now and at your picture on NYT http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/22/us/politics/22do...

I feel a sense of kinship with you.  We all need to remain strong and dedicated, and our candidate will be the democratic nominee and the 44th president of our great nation.

I am an AA, but I will not vote for BO if by some DNC manouvering he wins the nomination, I pray this will not happen, I am working real hard for Hillary to make sure this do not happen.

I need to read blogs from people like you online family to remain strong.

I read about lightning candles for Hillary tomorrow.  Great Idea.

by AbigirlTX at 3/22/2008 1:34:50 PM

    • RobinP

Thanks for all you are doing. We will get Hillary there. Everyone just needs to work twice as hard.

by Janey at 3/22/2008 4:05:00 PM

    • With hope for a brighter tomorrow

God bless you Robin.  I understand how broken the current health care system is - so many uninsured... and those that are insured struggle under outrageous premiums, huge deductibles and are faced with choices every day as to what illnesses to seek treatment for and which ones to try to self treat or just pray aren't "serious".  Then the insurance companies try to deny coverage, limit care, and otherwise make the whole process as cumbersome as possible.

      It's a disgrace.

This is why Hillary's call for Universal Health Care is so important.  She is passionate and committed to having ALL of us covered.  What a concept!

by Adriane at 3/22/2008 4:48:07 PM

    • Thank you Robin P of Indiana

Your dedication and effort reflects our dear Hillary's heart and commitment to lead our country in this very challenging times....Let us all be united and sing our pledge with one voice!!!

Thank you RobinP.  May God bless your heart.  We pray for you.  I am sure Hillary is aware of so many folks going through like you told us.  We need Hillary in
