Design Hillary's next t-shirtOne of the most fun things about meeting people who support my mom's campaign is seeing all the creative ways they show their support. I've seen a lot of homemade signs, buttons, and shirts on the campaign trail, and I think we need to harness that great creative energy for our campaign.

So today, I'd like to announce the launch of Project T-Shirt, a contest to design the next great t-shirt for my mom's campaign.

I know you agree with me that my mom is the strongest, most progressive, and most prepared candidate, and that she would be the best president! This is a great way for you to show exactly what her historic campaign means to you.

Maybe you've got a slogan that you've been dying to share. Or maybe you want to share your design talents. Whatever your ideas are, I can't wait to see them -- and we'll offer the best shirt for sale in the official campaign store, raising money to help my mom win! I'll also make sure to get a picture of me AND my mom wearing the shirt, which we will post on the website.

So please put on your thinking caps, get those creative juices flowing, and visit our Project T-Shirt website to learn more and submit your design.

Please click here to get started.

I'm so excited to see all the great ideas you have. Thank you so much for all you're doing to help my mom win!

Go Hillary!

        • Hillary has done a great job on O'Reilly Interview, CONGRATULATION!!!

Hillary, congratulations on your O'Reilly Interview

BRAVO Hillary you had a terrific interview - it was stimulating, and I am so very glad that you stayed ON POINT, on the issues and showed your vast knowledge and experience. Stay out of the negatives, and stay on the issues and you will get a lot of new voters or voters who at last realize what we your supporters always knew - you are going to be our 44th President.

Hillary fans and undecide voters, check out this site to see why and how we support Hillary

              • Tip to HIllary!!!

Pa Debate should be televised again ! Before Tuesdays elections?
would this be a good Idea before the elections Tuesday , for the other states to get a look since Obama refused new Debates ?

Would this be possible and do you think it would be a good Idea ?

Obama did not look very good under pressure and he really made himself look so bad if more people got a refresher before election wouldn't this help bring in more vote for Hillary ?

              • go to blogetta.com

At blogetta.com I have links to lists of all the major media by each remaining primary state, and i will be listing my personal selections of most effective newspapers and blogs to write on in each state. There is a storm of Obama supporters filling the community forums, comments to articles, and blogs. We need to support Hillary there, otherwise Obama is getting what amounts to tons of free advertising and the people will think  where are Hillary's supporters?

Its the kind of thing you can do when you are off-phone banking hours, in any few minute you have here and there.

Be sure to stay positive and do not be reactive to those who are rude - there are always some of those! Show the sharp positive contrast that Hillary supporters truly represent and that is already apparent when you take a look at some of the community forums.

            • Blogging Positive About Hillary

Have been for some time now. It's tough out there trying to get in our positive messages about Hillary between all the vitriolic messages from our opponent's side. There are some really mean people over on that side!  I always have to come back here after a while just to refuel on all the positive vibes here!

            • Stimulate my economy!

O.K. I'm not bragging, but my income prohibited me from receiving an "economic stimulus" check.  BUT I drive a car that uses gas, buy the groceries and everyday items that have increased prices due to the higher cost of gasoline and diesel fuel.  So would I like to see the oil companies earning BILLIONS of dollars pay my gas taxes that would affect every aspect of my income?  Oh, yes!!  So sorry other candidates can't see that thinking.  I guess they're not thinking.  I've been quiet through the accusations of being an angry citizen, growing up in a low income family, and having a "typical white woman" label.  PLEASE don't insult my intelligence by assuming I don't realize the cost at the pump is just one way gas prices affect my income/outgo ratio!

              • Economics: By Precinct Captain Richardo Brown

                Economics

The government intervention may move us closer to our economic goals. The resulting mix of market signals and government directives would be on improvement over a purely market driven economy. Government failure occurs when the government intervention fails to improve market outcomes or actually makes them worse.

The study of Economics is typically divided into two parts: macroeconomics and microeconomics. Macroeconomics (macro) focuses on the behavior of an entire economy; the big picture where we worry about national goals as full employment, control of inflation and the economic growth, without worrying about the well bring or behavior of specific individuals or groups. Macro is the understanding and improving the performances of the economy as a whole (i.e. determining how much money in total consumers will spend on goods and services). Microeconomics (micro) is studying details of the big picture. Micro focuses on individuals, firms and government agencies that compose the large economy. The behavior of individual economic actors with the questions: What are their goals? How much can they achieve their goals with limited resources? How can they respond to various incentives and opportunities? Micro is the focus paid to purchases of specific goods and services instead of aggregated totals.

Fiscal Policy refers to the use of government’s tax and spending powers to achieve desired macro outcomes. The tools of fiscal stimulus include increasing government purchases, reducing taxes and raising income transfers.

Fiscal Policy enhances the use of various budget levels to influence macroeconomic outcomes from a macro prospective. The federal budget is a tool that can shift aggregated demand and thereby alter macroeconomic outcomes.

Fiscal Stimulus privileges tax cuts or spending hikes intended to increase (shift) aggregated demand. The simplest way to shift aggregated demand is to increase government spending. If the government were to step up it’s purchases of tanks, highway, schools and other goods, the increased spending would add directly to aggregated demands. This will shift the aggregated demand (A.D.) rightward moving up to full employment, increased government spending is a form of fiscal stimulus.

                Federal Reserve System

At the top of the Federal Reserve System’s hierarchy chart is the Board of Governors, responsible for setting monetary policy. Located in Washington D.C. the board consists of seven members who serve as governors appointed by the President of the United States and confirmed by the U.S. Senate. Each member is appointed for 14 years and can’t be reappointed. This will give the Fed governors political independence and they are not beholden to any elected official and will hold office longer than any president. This intent is to keep control of the nation’s money beyond the reach of any politicians (e.g. members of Congress elected for 2-year terms). The president elects one of the governors to serve as chairman for 4 years. The board has a key arm called Federal Open Market Committees  (f.O.M.C.)  Which responds for the Feds actively daily in financial markets. The members of F.O.M.C. include all the 7 governors and 5 of the 12 regional reserve bank presidents. The F.O.M.C. meets every 4 or 5 weeks throughout the year to reviews the economy’s performances

              • Income Levels -

I agree.  I'm a business owner, high income, college educated and I'm supporting the person
who closely represents my beliefs.  I don't believe that if you have an income above the poverty level that you aren't effected by all the negative things going on in our country (or around the world).  I would hope that we all feel that without some of the opportunities we were given, we would be hurting even more.  So, no, I don't think that people leave their place in the human race if they
have achieved some financial security.  GO HILLARY,
YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE IN THIS WHOLE RACE WHO CAN START TO TURN THINGS AROUND!

        • Right now

It splits right down the middle. 50/50.

Given Obamas large double digit lead a week ago this is rather good news though it isnt scientific, it is consistant with the latest Insider Advantage poll released today, which has Obama with a mere 3 point lead in a poll that has a 3 percent margin of Error. Their poll headline reads:

          ********************************************
InsiderAdvantage/Majority Opinion Survey in North Carolina: Obama 48%; Clinton 45%; --Tied Within Margin of Error...

The telephone survey was conducted Sunday May 4  of 781 registered likely voters in the Tuesday Democratic primary. It was weighted for age, race, and gender, has a margin of error of plus or minus 3%.

InsiderAdvantage’s Matt Towery: “Really interesting dynamics at play here. Clinton has increased her lead among white voters to 58% - very close to the 60% plus level needed to pull off a victory. She now leads among those who say they are Democrats but has started to trail among Unaffiliated voters, who are allowed to participate in Tuesday’s election. Additionally, African-American voters are not quite as solid with Obama as they have been, at least based on previous exit polls. Clinton has remained in the upper teens (17%) of African-American support in our recent surveys. African-American turnout will be the key to this race. Our poll is based on a turnout model of 35% African-American vote. Anything under that number could give Clinton a shocking upset. But Indiana has become a true horserace that should concern the Clinton camp.”

          **************************************************

          http://www.southernpoliticalreport.com/storylink_5...

Clintons support among white working class voters comes out at 58 percent in this poll, and this is close to the magic number of 60 percent in that demographic for Clinton to win North Carolina according to the pollster.

Most of the television political pundits are stating that the Obama campaign is in serious trouble if Clinton wins both Illinois and North Carolina, while Clinton only needs to win one of these states for her campaign call tomorrows races a success.

Polls released today in Illinois give Clinton anywhere from a six percent to a 12 percent lead in Illinois, so the chances of a major upset over Obama tomorrow is very good.

        My question for Obama...

Are you comfortable? Can I get you a glass of water? Is there anything you don't want me to ask you, or topics you'd like us to avoid? Do you want to hear Hillary's answers to similar questions first so you can get the feel for what needs to be said in response to the toughwe questions?

WASHINGTON — Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton improved on her win in Pennsylvania’s Democratic primary Friday, picking up two more delegates 10 days after voters went to the polls.

The new delegates increased her margin of victory to 12 delegates, giving Clinton a total of 85 delegates in the primary, according to an analysis of election results by The Associated Press. Sen. Barack Obama won 73 delegates.

        • Undecided Voters.......

That's ok Kia but unfortunately if Obama is the
nominee, which isn't going to be the case- this
will hurt us in the general. I believe some
people will forgive but most won't. Right now
the DNC and majority of the Superdelegates are playing the political game. In my opinion I think
some are putting their personal interest first instead of what's truly "best" for this country.

This country is in a mess and right now we don't
need an on the job trainee for President. I'm not
trying to take anything away from Obama but it's
          just not the time.

We need a president who knows the ins and outs of the highest level of government. This would not be happening if this was a"Big" fortune 500 hundred
          company in trouble.

It's sad some people can't put their bias or selfish
reasons aside and do the right thing.

Yes she is a women, white and she just happen to be former President Bill Clinton wife.

I believe the majority of Americans, Superdelegates,
non-supporters of Hillary knows she's the best equiped candidate who can turn this country around
for the better. However, pride, grudges from past adminstration, jealousy of the wealthy and voters whom have failed to educate themselves might miss
out on "real solutions" to better their lives.

I ask you undecided voters, if you were in an
airplane in the dreadful storm would you prefer
a pilot at the wheel with 3 years of experience verses 21 years of experience?

Hillary is the one and she has plenty to gain-
a Healthy America. Vote for Hillary.

As usual, you know me. I love you all and I mean all.

          by Artemis-Houston at 5/4/2008 3:32:54 AM

        • FLORIDA AND MICHIGAN!

          I hear you.

I can't stand how other people in our country aren’t outraged at how the DNC have had the gall to not count our votes in FLA & MI.

It's un-constitutional for anyone to disinfragize FLA & MI.

Obama did not place his name on the MI primary ballot because there was no prize to be won for his efforts.

I think, that his actions in this matter speaks volumes about not only his character but his knowlage of the constitution.

People need to know these things, listen to what people are saying, not the slanted media, their just afraid of being called racist.

Well, I say they are, they have committed a form of racism by slanting their views towards Obama and not to both side equally.

      • Gas price relief

Why not increase the deduction allowed for gas mileage from 52 cents per mile to 65 cents per mile?  This would help those who are deducting their mileage.

by jcovillo at 5/4/2008 12:26:26 AM

        • Gas Tax break

I understand the need for the country to reduce the cost of fuel expense.  I own a small business with 10 delivery vans.  We spend $6,000.00/month on fuel.  But wouldn't I get the same relife (about 20% savings) if we simply lowerd the national speed limit back to 55/mph?  It would be better for the environment, reduce consumption and posibly increase the short term supply of gas above demand which if economics 101 is correct lead to lower fuel prices.  We would have safer highways, less consumption, lower prices ... we did it as a nation once before it was a good idea then and it worked great .... why not again?  It would also make the slower all electric cars and small cars safer on a slower highway they could keep up.

I wrote to the DNC and asked them why we can go to other countries to observe elections to insure fairness but we can't get the same treatment here in Florida.

Actress Elizabeth Taylor urged voters in next week’s Democratic primaries to back Hillary Clinton's White House run, saying in a statement released Friday that the New York senator was “not a flibbertijibbet.”

“It would be magnificent for our country if Senator Clinton won the votes, hearts and minds of the people in Indiana and North Carolina on Tuesday. She’s a brilliant teacher and powerful leader. We all know what she’s about. We know what she isn’t. Senator Clinton is not a flibbertijibbet [sic]. She’s strong,” said Taylor.

Why did you chose to denounce your pastor just this week when people who attend Trinity said Reverend Wright's latest performance was the same as any other Sunday at your church for the last twenty years?

Why are you afraid to debate Hillary?

Why are you afraid to let the voices of the voters of Michigan and Florida be heard?

            • Rasmussan poll on the minister

This morning, Fox News reported that a Rasmussan poll came out stating that 70% of all Americans belive that Obama shares the same ideas against this country with Wright. That includes 48% Dems. Also, 58% of all Americans believe that Obama threw Wright under the bus for political expedience rather than actually believing it.
This has to get out to the super dels.

              • That's a shame

You know something? That's a shame. I think that saying Obama shares Wright's ideas is something people have talked themselves into, and frankly I think it makes us look stupid.

Hillary is the best candidate for President. We don't need to go there. Obama's not the best candidate - that's not a crime, in 8 years he most likely will be! Trying to tear him down by attributing feelings to him that are strongly contradicted by his record... it doesn't serve our purpose and takes us down the road to negativity and vitriol.

WE MUST STAY POSITIVE - his supporters turn people off every day with their hate speech and wide-eyed hero worship. WE MUST FOCUS ON THE POSITIVES AND STAY TRUE TO WHO WE ARE.

            • I asked

I asked if we could expect him to unify the nation since he had trouble showing a united front with his minister.

Tim will obviously already have a pre-arranged "tough" question that Obama will be able to lob back.

by suef at 5/2/2008 7:02:30 PM

      • NO

I THINK THE POINT BEHIND THIS WHOLE MEET THE PRESS THING IS TO HLEP GET OBAMA'S EDGE BACK - SURPRISED CNN ISN'T DOING THE SAME THING - ACTUALLY I THINK MSNBC IS MORE IN THE TANK FOR OBAMA THAN CNN....KEITH OLBERMAN AND DAN ABRAMS - JEEEEZ.

by suzibee at 5/2/2008 5:35:59 PM

    • My question for Sen. Obama is:

For someone who has tried to make judgment an issue, where was your "judgment" in associating with Rev. Wright for 20 years?

by Yooper at 5/2/2008 2:09:18 PM

      • Building on that Question for Sen. Obama:

Since much of your campaign is based on the claim that superior judgement is more important than experience:

Where was your judgement when you voted for the Bush-Cheney energy bill?

by SKrossa at 5/2/2008 7:56:08 PM

    • Question for Obama

I asked a question on why he so openly rejected all the voters in Michigan by taking his name off the ballot and taking away our voice. I'm for Hillary but I think it was cold for someone to disrespect all the voters in our state for something that is clearly not our fault. I would suggest a monetary settlement from responsible parties so we could have another election in our state.

by Tutite at 5/2/2008 3:27:04 PM

      • FACT: Hillary Has Always Said MI Should Count

That's an excellant point and a point that a lot of Obama supporters and spin masters like to try to twist against Hillary. They claim she broke "the rules" by leaving her name on the ballot when all the other candidates took theirs off. The rule was not that they had to take their names off the ballot, just that they could not actively campaign there. Well, in reality as Hillary said in an interview on New Hampshire Public Radio back in October 2007, long before the MI primary, she was not going to automatically count out the voters in MI because she knew those votes would matter to the Demecratic nominee come November. It was a very savvy, politically appropriate move on her part, and I have heard that Obama actually tried to copy her once he realized that it was a great move and tried to get his name back on the ballot in MI but was too late with his paperwork.

Here's a link to the WashPo article outlining that interview: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/artic...

If Obama had won with those pricey ads he bought and paid for in Florida I wonder if he would have supported my vote to matter then?  To think I switched parties and this happens.  It's Hillary or nothing as far as I am concerned!  Please don't quit.  Your the hope that keeps me positive.  What about being a Indie?

    • I sent my question.

      Here's my question:

Yes, there have been many debates but not that many since you and Senator Clinton have been the last two candidates left standing. Why were you so against debating her before the primaries in NC and Indiana and other states? The American people keep tuning into those debates Just look at the ratings. What are you afraid of?

by AngelaNY at 5/2/2008 3:45:49 PM

    • My questions

      Senator Obama,

What was the real reason you were opposed to debating Senator Clinton? Obviously it was not because you wanted to spend more time with voters than in a tv studio.

Why were you opposed to holding re-votes in Florida and Michigan? I thought you believed in the 50 state strategy.

Why are you opposed to counting the Michigan votes even though your name was not on the ballot, didn't you win your first primary by knocking everyone else off the ballot and running unopposed?

How are we supposed to believe that you did not hear anything controversial from Reverand Wright before now? Did he just change overnight?

    • MSNBC: OBAMA IS PROTECTING THE OIL COMPANIES POCKETS?

A GOOD QUESTION TO ASK OBAMA IS WHY IS HE OPPOSED TO THE OIL COMPANIES FOOTING THE BILL FOR THE ROAD AND BRIDGES REPAIRS  THAT THE HOLIDAY RELIEF TAX WOULD BRING.  IS IT MORE IMPORTANT TO PROTECT THE OIL COMPANY'S BILLIONS OF PROFITS THEY HAVE MADE FROM US THE CONSUMERS?  WE, THE WORKING CLASS DESERVE A BREAK!!!!!!   GIVE US A GAS TAX BREAK!!!!!

by AMBER HOUSTON at 5/2/2008 7:27:21 PM

That is exactly what I asked... Amber Houston! He again shows how out of touch he is! Hillary has the Oil Companies (BO supporters) scrambling for "experts" rejecting the Gas Tax Releif...That's my Hillary!!!

    • Hey guys.. just some tips to all of you making calls to IN and NC...

Been making calls every weekends for at least 4 hours a day. I target at least 100 calls a day. Its so much fun and I love doing it for our girl and our campaign.

But just a tip guys, write down names and numbers of undecideds, so you can call back after a day or two and perhaps follow through. Or also those who are not home, if you can list them down so you can go back  and call them and speak to them personally on the phone. Because after you submit results of the call, you may not access those numbers or voters again. I also write down names and numbers of people who may need help or wish to help the campaign.

Good luck guys!! Tomorrow we all roll our sleeves and get to serious work!!! WE can do this. Yes we will!!!

      Lets Gooooooooooooo Team Hillary!!!
      Stronger Together, United Behind Hillary

    • Gas Tax Holiday

Let's remind Sen. Obama that the gas tax holiday does more than just save drivers 30 cents a day.   It will allow people to take those vacations they were hesitating to take this summer.  This in turn will help the smaller B&Bs, hotels, restaurants, fast food joints, tourist attractions, etc. along the way who rely on the summer business to keep going. Without these customers many of these smaller enterprises may end up going out of business by the end of the summer as a result of higher overheads and lower revenues.   So do keep up the fight for the tax break, and help keep the little man in business.

by Redtwo at 5/3/2008 5:01:15 AM

    • Florida

As an American citizen-taxpayer and registered elector since 1976...I feel so strongly about not having my VOTE counted - as in popular vote that if you win the democratic primary I will vote for a Republican for the first time in my life. I feel you are trying to dismiss Florida where all the candidates were on the ballot and no one campaigned.
Whay are you doing this blocking of the popular vote?

by kai at 5/2/2008 7:46:51 PM

    Thank you

Chelsea,  Thank you for all your support of your mother.  You are a fine example of hope for our country's future.  It's got to be hard to hear all the negative during this campaign, but you, like your mother, have a smile on your face and a wonderful aurora of confidence surrounding you whenever you speak.  Charming, intelligent, and confident - what a team!  Your mother-daughter relationship speaks loudly to me as I too treasure my friendship with my daughter.  Again, thank you for your willingness to stand up for your mom.

Well Anne I really like yours and I would wear it.
The one I thought of that too would not really win was -
"Don't Ya Wish Your Nominee Had Solutions Like Ours"
                        "Don't Ya"
(Sorry I count not get it to line up right - wanted centered but oh well I think ppl will get it.

Keep all the ideas coming cause even if they only pick one to me they are all winners cause they show the great support and creativity of all of us that think she really doesn't need a slogan to be our 44th President of the United States - "Madam President sounds good to Me!
Dedicated and Proud Supporter of Hillary Clinton for President...Just donated too! Come on everyone this is the time to do it.
"Its like double coupon day - every little bit helps."

People get out there in NC and campaign non-stop. Get those votes in, work hard over the weekend towards voting day when the polls close.
