A Busy Weekend in the Beaver State

Over the last two days, driven by hundreds of volunteers, Oregon for Hillary canvassed all 36 counties in Oregon and held 88 house parties across the state. With voter registration levels through the roof, we are seeing large pockets of support for Hillary, most notably in the traditionally Republican areas in Eastern Oregon.

Armed with literature, stickers, supporter cards and clipboards, our volunteers went to the zoo, attended Cinco de Mayo events, gave out water at some races and stopped by the Portland Beavers game with our very special volunteer.

Hillary has specific solutions
in her plans for Oregon. I am from a rural area of WA state. And I am amazed at the depth of understanding she shows. Her ideas for helping create new jobs related to the 2nd and 3rd growth timber forests are spot-on.

There are acres and acres of poorly maintained timber lands, with trees huddled together like matchsticks or lodgepole pines, when they're not. Timber property needs regular thinning to enable trees to get some girth. There are also new uses for what used to be considered trimming "waste." Guess I don't need to get too forestry esoteric here.

The take-home is that when voters here her specific solutions, they KNOW the difference between that and vague promises of hope and change.

BTW kicked another $$ into the kitty. I'm planning to go to OR to help out -- ideas as to which area? I'll call/email down to the HRC campaign sites too.

- help hillary to become President
  I'm 81 years young and can ONLY MAKE PHONE CALlS FOR HER.WISH I COULD TRAVEL WITH HER. I hope the super delgates keep her but if they trash her she can run as a Independent and still win . Everyone keep working and help her not to give up. It would be a great treat to me to see her become President one way or another.

  I went up to Oregon for a week, and it was a really worthwhile and meaningful event for me! I heartily encourage you to go -- I actually got to meet Hillary at an event!
  
  I would encourage you to go to Portland, as that's only 2 hours from you in Seattle, and they could use your help there.

where's everybody at
hey you folks we need to get oregon started !!the supporters are doing the hard work we need more ideas to help besides phone calls we need to get boots ,shoes and sandles on the ground and if we can donate to the headquarters to make it happen ..
i'm trying to promote writing postcards for hillary it's a good ideal
i love that we're hitting every county leave no votes behind..and the house parties was a excellent ideal !! i got a drink to serve at the parties for the adults called a hillarita!!

  I am a veteran of the Pennsylvania primary.
  The post cards and Hillarita drink are great ideas....maybe you can get a few local drinking establishments to put the Hillarita on their menu and donate $1.( or more) for every one sold .
  
  You can donate or loan local offices basics like chairs , tables , paper , water , snacks , napkins, pens...anything the campaign does not need to buy for ofices can allow those precious $$$$'s to go into ads, signs and more important , visible tools to help Hillary WIN BIG ! YOU are SOOO IMPORTANT to her campaign effort. HILLARY NEEDS YOU AND AMERICA NEEDS HILLARY !

  I have relatives that live in Oregon and they will also be voting for Hillary. I have asked them to sign the petition as well. My son just turned 18 and has registered to be able to vote for her in November :)

Volunteers, how better to honor our candidate Hillary
I am happy to see the good folks of Oregon coming out to help. Hillary has a new friend in Lou Dobbs who defends her against the comments of Ted Kennedy. We can use all the help we can get and I think avoiding negativity is an advantage.
The next two states are in place and with all the great people helping everywhere this race is still on. Let's keep helping, donate what you can and let us let the DNC know MI and FL MUST count. Go Hillary, we supporters are passionate and loyal! Thanks for all you do for us.
