Dear Friend, Standing on that stage tonight in front of 20,000 Democrats unified behind Senator Obama, I saw a bright future for America. I saw millions of people across the country working as one to elect the next Democratic President. I saw a new President and a new Congress giving a voice to the voiceless. I saw America, the land of endless potential, regaining its role as a leader in the world. I couldn't be prouder of our party, of our nominee, and of all the work you and I have done together over the course of this campaign on behalf of the American people. I knew that as I stood in front of that podium, I wasn't alone. I had you, and everyone who has supported me, standing right up there with me. And that means the world to me. Thank you again for everything you've done. Now let's get to work helping elect Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and all of our great Democratic candidates! Sincerely, Hillary
Dear Friend,
Standing on that stage tonight in front of 20,000 Democrats unified behind Senator Obama, I saw a bright future for America.
Sincerely,
Hillary
I just wanted to give you a quick glimpse of the atmosphere in the Pepsi Center for Hillary's speech. Check back for more photos tomorrow! Enjoy!
This afternoon Katie and I went to the EMILY's List Gala. It was a truly amazing event as we watched women come together to inspire, motivate and unite. Standing in a room of thousands it was so moving to see women of all ages come together to stand strong, to elect Senator Obama president and to also work hard to elect progressive pro-choice Democratic women to office around the country. This was truly a memorable event here in Denver. We listened to Michelle Obama inspire, Speaker Pelosi, Ellen Malcom, Senator Mikulski and more. And you know, most of all we were so excited to see Hillary speak. She energized the crowd and just before she spoke, Katie and I had a chance to chat with her for a few minutes backstage. Last night, Hillary spoke at the "Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence" reception at the Denver Art Museum.
The night was a celebration of women entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses. Over the years, Hillary has worked closely with the Count Me In organization to develop programs in New York State and across the country, including the Make Mine a Million $ Business program to inspire one million women to reach $1 million in revenue by 2010.
Overall the night was a great success.
